Dennis Vandermeer followed up his great race in Kona with a sub-10 hour
effort at the inaugural race in Busselton. This course was set up for fast
racing and Dennis certainly took advantage of it. He finished ninth in his
age group of about 113 and 76th of 733 overall.
Great Job Dennis!

It looks like the most improved award in this race series goes to Craig McMannis who posted a 2:34:25 in the first Tri-4-Real compared to his 2:19:09 in this past race. Congratulations on the improvement Craig! And, congrats to all Mad Cows who represented us so well in this race series. See you all (and hopefully, more MCs) again next year.

And last, but not least, the star of the day was our Special Olympian - Brian. Brian, along with Kelly McDonald, took home 1st place honors in the Co-ed Relay Division under the team name of 'Eat More Chicken'. Their winning time was 2:34:20. It was a real treat for everyone who stuck around during the awards ceremony to see Brian standing atop the middle podium.
