There's something about the small northern Californian town of Davis that makes it a mecca for triathletes. You'll probably find more world class multisport athletes per square inch in this town than anywhere else on the planet. "...Davis has proven to be the ideal training ground for aspiring Ironman champions. You only thrive here if you are tough." As Steve Larsen said "Remember Dave Scott won all of his titles (6 Ironman World Championships) when he lived here!" However, look under that competitive exterior and you'll find an incredibly diverse and talented group of people dedicated to their community, who love to party, have a fun time and race triathlons. Welcome to the Mad Cows.

From the President

Hello fellow bovines and Happy MooYear!

As your new President, I wanted to be the first to welcome all of you to 2006, a year that promises to be filled with great challenges and accomplishments!

For those of you returning, this will be the best year our team has ever seen. And for our new members, you picked a great time to get involved with the World Famous Mad Cows Racing Team.

As promised, we are going to help everyone, from beginner to elite, meet their personal and athletic goals this year! With the help of clinics, team meetings (with guest speakers), group workouts, social events, and discounted products and services from our sponsors, we wabt to give you the tools that will help you all accomplish whatever it is you set out to do!

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our first team meeting in February (date, time and location TBA). We want to give everyone an opportunity to come meet other members, hear Brad Kearns speak (who is an accomplished athlete, coach and race director) and see what we have planned for this new and exciting year.

See you soon,

Chad DeMasi and entire Mad Cow Racing Team Board
