Hike for a Cure Hello Mad Cows, As many of you may know, our daughter, Dakota Cosgrove, age 6, was diagnosed with Langerhan's Cell Histiocytosis this April. She has a tumor on her spine, that is invasive, but not malignant. Histiocytosis is a rare disease that afflicts only one in 250-500 thousand children each year. Since it is so rare, very little money is available for research.
On September 19, my wife, Dakota's mother, Joan Gerbasi, will be hiking for a cure for histiocytosis. We would deeply appreciate any pledges to sponsor the hike, and histiocytosis research. All donations will go directly to the Histiocytosis Association of America.
To donate, click on the link below, and under the "Register or Sponsor" section, click "become a sponsor." Thank you very much for your consideration.
Dakota's tumor has not spread or grown, but it has not shrunk with the chemotherapy. She is a very "brave soldier" and sends her thanks to you all.
Thanks again,
joe cosgrove
